Cupping Therapy

Clinical_23.jpg

Cupping is a traditional therapy used to improve circulation, relieve tension, and support the body’s natural recovery processes. Rooted in East Asian medicine, it involves placing cups on the skin to create gentle suction, lifting the tissues and encouraging movement.

When stress, strain, or overuse restrict circulation, stiffness and discomfort can develop. Cupping helps restore flow by promoting blood and fluid movement, allowing muscles to relax and release. Techniques include stationary cupping for targeted areas and moving cupping, where cups glide across the skin for a massage-like effect.

It’s commonly used on the back, shoulders, hips, and legs to address muscle tension, soreness, and recovery from physical activity. Temporary circular marks may appear after treatment; these are typically painless and fade within a few days.

Sessions are tailored to the individual, with suction adjusted for comfort. Often combined with acupuncture, cupping supports circulation, mobility, and the body’s natural ability to heal.
